 All instruction is live-on-Zoom and you will be fully supported by a team of experts every step of the way. 

You will gain experience working with unpaid clients (you’ll begin working with them during the 3 day experience & continue for the duration of this program)

Learn Remotely

All interactions are done in the convenience of your own home from anywhere in the world. We kick off with a 3 day intensive where you’ll get comfortable with the material and get to know your fellow students. During these 3 days, you’ll discover the basics you need to know in order to…

  •  Learn a multitude of hypnotic inductions and gain hands-on experience using them
  •  Develop a hypnotic voice with correct tone, volume, pitch and pacing
  •  Understand & learn how to use hypnotherapy techniques
  •  Receive constructive criticism & feedback to hone your practice
  •  Discover the best way to keep notes during a session.

Following that, you will learn several different methods to induce the state of hypnosis, perform hypnotherapy techniques and effectively coach to make a huge difference in your own life, those you work with, and in the world. This course is about creating profound, positive change through powerful and life changing hypnotherapy techniques. This class is packed with powerful healing tools combined with a real “hands on” approach that makes learning easy, fun and energizing.

Technique Utilization

In addition to the Live Training, 100 Hours of Technique Utilization are required for all students who are taking this course to receive a Hypnotherapy certification through the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners. These hours are supervised, and can be completed according to your schedule.

I’m Maude Schellhous, the founder of Sacramento Hypnotherapy Wellness Center and the California School of Hypnotherapy. I’ve been a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist (CCHT) since 1995 and a Certified Behavioral Therapist (CBT) since 1999. And I’ve spent nearly three decades helping people unlock their potential, release limitations, and transform their lives from the inside out.

I’ve always believed that healing and success should be accessible to everyone, not just a few. That belief is what inspired me to create Sacramento Hypnotherapy Wellness Center, a place where people from all walks of life can experience real change and discover what’s possible when they align their conscious and subconscious mind.

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of working with thousands of clients, helping them overcome fears, shift patterns, and rediscover their sense of self. My greatest passion lies in showing people that they already hold the keys to their own healing — sometimes, they just need help finding the door.

In 2013, I founded the California School of Hypnotherapy to train others to do this deeply meaningful work. Teaching new hypnotherapists how to facilitate healing and empowerment has been one of the most fulfilling parts of my journey. Watching my students grow into confident practitioners and changemakers is a gift I never take for granted.

Another one of my favorite creations has been the Hypnotherapy Fantasy Camp — an immersive, heart-centered experience designed to bring people together to heal, reconnect, and play. These camps blend hypnotherapy, creativity, and community in the most magical way. They remind us that personal growth doesn’t have to be heavy — it can be joyful, expansive, and deeply freeing.

After all these years, my purpose remains the same: to help others believe in what’s possible for themselves, to give them the tools to transform their lives, and to continue creating spaces where healing, growth, and connection thrive.
